“To affect the quality of the day – that is the highest of the arts.”
- Henry David Thoreau

I began my Ballroom dancing experience as a student at Skidmore College, participating in the Swing/Ballroom Club. I received instruction from Arthur Murray Dance Studios as well as several other professional organizations in the area. I competed two years at the college level in various competitions throughout the Northeast. As co-president of the club, I ran both the competition and performance teams. I co-choreographed many routines for both couples and group performances which put us at the top of the “go-to” list for exhibitions at various events, galas, and local charities. Our group was also featured several times on the local news.

Always trying to perfect my craft, I have participated in workshops and classes taught by some of the best professional dancers not only in the area, but from top champions and dance legends from both the United States and Europe in Swing, Latin, Tango, and Ballroom. As a participant in the 2001 Intercontinental Dancesport Festival in Daytona Beach, I received training through intensive workshops with championship dancers and nightly events for students from several different countries. I have also participated in workshops and private lessons from the great Frankie Manning (the "Father of Swing," who is well known for revolutionizing the Lindy Hop and is famous for his incredible aerials and work in Hollywood), Chance Bushman, and from Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Karina Smirnoff from ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

Currently working as an instructor and the Community Outreach Coordinator at The Saratoga SAVOY Center of Dance, located in historic Saratoga Springs, NY, I work with students from grade school level up to senior citizens and beyond. Specializing in Ballroom Dance and Wedding Dance Instruction, I also travel throughout the community teaching and/or performing at schools, churches, and special events.
